About me

"I am human and let nothing human be alien to me." - Terence

I have been working in the counseling field since 2006. Throughout that time, working with many different client’s, I have learned that the relationship between myself and my client is one of the most important agents of change. When asked, “What do you recall about your experience in therapy?” More often than not, clients remember the positive supportive statements of their therapist.

My goal with every client is to provide an engaging, supportive and empathetic environment where the client feels relevant. I believe that therapy is about discovery and growth and both will happen when working in an appropriate environment.

Throughout the years I have worked extensively with families and adolescents as well as individual clients. While working with families I developed a deeper curiosity about interpersonal relationships and relational difficulties which led me to start working with couples.

Through my work I have developed areas of clinical interests and competence which include: anxiety disorders, individuals affected by trauma, survivors of sexual assault and incest, self-esteem issues, depression, infidelity, divorce and sexual issues (including issues related to endometriosis and infertility).

I have been trained in the Bader-Pearson Developmental Model of Couples Therapy as well as Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also incorporate strategies from several other models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.
