My name is Jamie Przybylski and I am a Licensed Therapist in the states of Iowa and Nebraska. You may be having some difficulty pronouncing my last name – pretty much everybody does – it’s Shuh-bell-ski. Easy, right? You can just call me Jamie.
I have over 20 years of experience in this field. The way I’ve done therapy has changed over the years with new trainings, life experiences and learning from the many clients I have seen throughout the years. I try to constantly learn and grow when it comes to how I do therapy, as well as how I live my own life.
I specialize in the areas of high stress management, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, self-esteem, motivation, life transitions, career difficulties, and self-exploration.
I don’t act like I’m the authority on your life, because I’m not – YOU are! We will work together in sessions as collaborators.
I utilize a holistic and integrative style of therapy – meaning I look at your entire life and use multiple therapy techniques to fit each individual. My approach combines humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, existential, and evolutionary psychotherapy techniques.
Most people find me easy to relate to, which is great since I am a therapist. I’m laid back and typically easy going; however, at the same time, I’m candid in sessions and will help push you forward in the psychotherapy process.
We’ll use everyday language, not clinical jargon. I may use self-disclosure as a way of normalizing life’s difficulties to help you navigate life more effectively. My hope is to help you learn new ways of coping, interacting, experiencing, and being in day-to-day life.
If you feel I’m the right fit for you - Awesome! - let’s get started.
