About Me

Did you ever think you would be here? When I first went to counseling to help with some tough problems I was facing, that is the thought that ran through my mind. However, it was one of the best decisions of my life and has led me to become a counselor myself!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a master's degree in counseling. I chose to go to seminary because of my faith and wanted to be able to integrate Biblical teachings and methods upon request. However, I am fully trained in non-Biblical methods as well, and am willing to use whichever techniques work best for you. I am currently seeking a doctoral degree from Liberty University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I absolutely love my job and really enjoy watching people learn, grow, heal, and overcome obstacles!

I use a variety of techniques but am specifically trained in Emotion Focused Therapy. This means that I help people understand and process their emotions which enables them to make wise decisions. I have found that oftentimes our greatest distress comes from not being heard, understood, and feeling alone in our situation. When I can help a client express their emotions and be heard and understood, they are able to overcome any obstacles in their way!

I love working with couples and individuals who desire to work on their relationships.

Jamie is amazing. She is understanding and able to counsel me through her Christian morals and values. I'm so glad she's my counselor!

Jamie really understood my situation. She was able to get to the core of what I was experiencing and enabled me to come off a call with more clarity and feeling heard.
