About Me
When life hurts, where can one turn? One alternative is counseling. There are several types of counseling therapies including Behavioral, Cognitive, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Holistic. My counseling approach is known as Cognitive – Behavioral Therapy. This approach focuses on the relationship between thoughts and emotions. Sometimes it can be very difficult, if not impossible, for people to simply change how they feel. However, by first resolutely changing how they think they then change how they feel and what they do. This approach has been scientifically validated for successfully working with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, anger, addiction, anxiety, depression, and codependency.
If you are ready for this challenge, I believe you can succeed in developing a more fulfilling, happier life. I am here to support and empower you. I am a University of Wisconsin – Madison graduate with a Ph.D. in Psychology. I am a Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. I have about 35 years of clinical experience.
Expect me to be nonjudgmental. I always try to be empathetic and compassionate.
