About me

I am a veteran, a former medic and have extensive experience with military, military families, physicians, nurses, and first-responders.

I have been a Head Start Director, a third grade teacher, a high school counselor, a university teacher, a Perpetrator Treatment Provider for adjudicated offenders, a counselor in a halfway house, a principal of an elementary school, washed dishes in a restaurant, provided parenting classes, taught self-esteem classes for moms, worked with couples in marriage counseling, counseled military, counseled grief and loss, provided group counseling, facilitated family counseling, worked with PTSD and trauma clients, counseled LGBT clients, and worked with clients that had stress and anxiety.

I have streamlined my professional training and services to a few areas; PTSD, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Couples and Relationships, Stress and Anxiety. I have worked with military and first-responders (Police, EMT). I have trained with the Navy and the Marines in San Diego for Combat Operational Stress Certification and worked directly as a Military Family Life Counselor, assigned overseas.

I am a National Board Certified Counselor and am Board Certified-TeleMental Health. I have specialized training in Trauma, specifically with military, physicians, nurses and first-responders. I trained in EMDR, Choice Theory, Combat Operational Stress, Grief and Loss, and have extensive (20+ years) experience to work with you.

Through our work together, we will build a strong foundation; one that will keep you balanced and able to lead a full and satisfying life. If you, or your partner are suffering, you are NOT alone and there IS help.

I believe in resiliency, the strength that each of us carries to persevere in the worst of situations. I specialize and am certified in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy and EMDR to help those with PTSD, Trauma, grief/loss, and relationship issues work through their difficulties and prosper. Dr. Morgan is an excellent therapist.
I have been in therapy on and off for about 20 years and have worked with many different types of therapists. Hands down Dr. Morgan is by far the best I have ever worked with. She is truly exceptional. Kind, compassionate and most importantly requires her clients to take an active role in their well being. She provides a variety of worksheets and uses Choice Theory as a way to assist clients in developing the skills needed to live a mentally, emotionally and physically healthy life. After less than a year of therapy I feel more prepared to navigate my life in a healthy way.

I feel very comfortable talking with Dr. Morgan. She not only listens to me, but hears me… she talks me through the emotional mess that I have swirling about in my heart and mind, and doesn’t make me feel like less of a person because of the trauma that I have gone through in my life. She is helping me dig and understanding on a deeper level Who I am, how to love myself, and how to let go of the past. I am thankful that God placed her in my life, at just the right time! And I look forward to the continued healing within my own heart and mind!

Genuinely positively life-altering. That’s the easiest way to describe my experience with Dr M. Learning all about being aware of feelings without being controlled by them, turning thoughts, needs, and desires into actions and goals, focusing on forward movement and bettering my self. I can’t say enough about her care, encouragement, and teaching. Greater than I ever could have imagined a counseling experience to be.

Dr. Morgan has the experience and approach I need for my severe CPTSD, depression, and anxiety. So glad to get practical help instead of silly platitudes for a change!
