About me

My name is Janice Mills, and I am a licensed professional counselor and licensed substance abuse professional. I received my Master of Science in Education and Counselor Education from Missouri Baptist University and my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. I have been involved in helping individuals and families rebuild from difficulties for over 30 years. I have a high level of commitment to my clients and attempt to provide one-on-one appointments that meet with their schedule. Over the years I have had many hundreds of hours of training that allows me to provide a variety of different types of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, EMDR, Animal Assisted Therapy and psychodrama. I have worked with a wide range of concerns some of which are anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, addictions, parent education, trauma, relationship and attachment issues.

I have been treating individuals, couples and families for many years and it is part of my treatment to encourage interaction and participation in the process. We work together in creating a treatment plan to meet specific goals and help find their strengths, family and available community supports. I believe in treating individuals and families with respect, compassion, genuineness and dignity.

I look forward to working with you and helping to empower you to reach your goals and expectations.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Janice Mills. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Jan is a warm and encouraging person, her style is very conversational and each session with her feels like chatting with a friend. She has helped me to work through some stuff and become more grounded. Would recommend.
