About me

Good on you, my dear, for taking this first step! You're taking a positive and crucial step toward the possibility for change and personal growth. My name is Jasmine Travis, and I am a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that most people who seek counseling are not psychologically abnormal. My clients are having human reactions to a complex, stressful, ever-changing world. No matter the problem, people cope in the best way they know how. Perhaps you find you're experiencing adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, sadness, heightened anxiety, trouble coping with the pandemic, daily life conflicts, or career issues. Maybe you're facing uncertainty or you're at a transition or turning point in your life. The complicated feelings of distress, anxiety and depression can be immobilizing. Life is challenging and my experience has taught me how valuable psychotherapy can be towards forward movement and meaningful change..

My professional experience in the field of mental health has afforded me an opportunity to impact hundreds of lives. This experience has also impacted yours truly (me). I am experienced and comfortable with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, family conflict, addiction, self-esteem, chronic relapse, traumatic brain injury, anger management, gambling, parenting, infidelity, ADHD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, self-harming, oppositional defiance, coping skills, impulsivity, spirituality, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, dual diagnosis, emotional disturbance, relationship issues, divorce behavioral issues, codependency, racial identity, trauma and PTSD, and stress.

I believe in the inherent ability of everyone to heal and grow when provided the appropriate opportunity. My approach is honoring, kind, and forthright to enable you to feel safe, not judged, and make the progress you desire on your path to enhanced well-being.
My strengths lie in helping you negotiate and sort through the complicated choices, transitions & challenges life presents. You’ve already taken that first step, and I’m proud of you.

I hold space for each client no matter their background, gender, size, age, race, religion, income, career, culture, sexual orientation, abilities, or disabilities. If you are ready to heal what has held you back, process what you've been avoiding, and resolve the issues that life has thrown your way; then, I am ready to walk beside and guide you on your journey. I provide a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive setting in which to move forward. Encouraging you to explore the internal landscape of your own life, holding you accountable in our work together, and holding space for you to experience your emotions.
