(CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW SUBSCRIBERS)
Originally from Southern California, I received my Master of Social Work degree from Brigham Young University in 2013. In my 7 years of experience I have provided counseling to couples and individuals in private practice. I also have a history of working in the field of addiction in both residential and outpatient settings. My areas of expertise include anxiety/stress management, depression, and addiction recovery. I also provide treatment for trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, divorce, men's issues, parenting, and faith crises/transitions. I have experience working with military veterans, AP&P, EAP's, entrepreneurs, the LGBTQ community, and individuals who seek a multi-cultural perspective.
I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other evidenced-based practices to help clients work toward developing insight and coping skills to improve their emotional well-being and relationships. I'll ask questions, make educated guesses and ask before I discuss sensitive topics. I can use humor when appropriate and generally like to frame our sessions as a conversation addressing your current challenges and progress. I look forward to hearing from you.
