About Me
Hi,
My name is Jeanne Assinthe. I started my professional life as a teacher in Miami Dade County. She went on to work as a state correctional officer and then started working as a Targeted Case Manager/Therapist and Parenting Educator (serving high-risk families involve in DCF). Because of my work with high-risk youth and my direct observation of trauma, I decided to establish Amitie (a Virtual Wellness Center) . I enjoy my multiple roles as a Telehealth Assessor, Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor. My passion led me to create clinical programs, including an independent Living Skills curriculum dedicated to young adults age 16 to 24 in and out of the foster care system.
Today, I works fully via telehealth but enjoys presenting and discussing mental health with individuals/groups in efforts to educate, promote and advocate for Mental Wellness, especially in communities where the stigma attached to therapy prevents or limits a willingness to seek support. As a black woman, I has a true passion for my Haitian community. I am the founder and host of Pawòl Lakay, which started as a radio show exposing and addressing taboo topics in the Haitian community such as child abuse, gender role and expectations, human trafficking, corruption, sex, financial abuse, oppression, education, and religion.
My extensive qualifications, as well as my commitment to continued education, contribute to her ever-expanding knowledge and practice in the mental health field. Don’t let my passionate dedication and professionalism fool you, though. I always have a smile on my face and loves to spend time dancing, traveling, and hosting get-togethers with friends and family members.

Jeanne is great to talk to. She has been right on point with my needs in her. She really opened my eyes to how I needed to better myself and thinking.
Since starting therapy with Jeanne, I’ve seen a big difference in the way that I think about and respond to certain situations in my life. She is not afraid to challenge my thoughts, which I really need! I’m so appreciative of the work she’s doing with me
She is doing a great job and I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you so much to her.
Jeanne always makes me feel like she is really paying attention to what I say. She has given me several tools I can use to address the challenges I'm trying to work through. It is so nice to feel like she wants to help.
She has been so great.
I was nervous at first because I haven’t really seen a therapist until recently. But, I really enjoyed my first video call with her. She helped me a lot within the hour. I highly recommend her.
Jeanne is amazing! She listen, offers great advice and cares about me! I always look forward to our weekly sessions!
Jeanne is one of the best therapists I've had the pleasure of working with. She has helped and continues to support me immensely.
Jeanne is amazing! I love that we were connected on this app. She is always available when I need her.
Excellent therapist.
Jeanne was amazing my first appointment. She sends me things that I should follow. I really love her.
Enjoyed my first session - a real good therapist !!!!
Relatable and gives it to me straight and provides tools for me to learn and use... really enjoying her style of counseling
I have actually already shared my therapists name and this link with 3 friends, I absolutely love the therapy I’m getting and appreciate so much how Jeanna checks in with me, sends me reminders and truly cares about me!! The other day during therapy she was entertaining my child while I meditated and that just truly stood out as someone who cares!! I’d refer her to anyone I know struggling.
Jeanne Assinthe is very calm and very patient with me. She is so supportive and she understands my problems in a short period of time. She assigns me tasks everyday which is very helpful.
Such a kind, mindful, skilled, and educated woman. You’ll know what I’m talking about once you start chatting with her. She made me feel better from the start. Without even working on the actual therapy yet. But it turns out that just having my emotions being validated, is such a helpful aspect of therapy in itself. She really gets you thinking in the right ways that don’t hurt you, and are effective to your development through healing and recreating a better life for yourself. I’m so glad I matched with her! I can’t wait to see how much more I will be learning and growing from my experience with her!
I have only had one session with Ms. Jeanne Assinthe. After my first session I feel hopeful. I am excited to see the outcome.
