I am a Professional Licensed Counselor, in Missouri, with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with very troubled youths and families in residential treatment centers and I have extensive experience working with military personnel and veterans, of which I am also one. My education and experience has helped me to appreciate the diversity of cultures, faiths, philosophies, values and perspectives of my clients. I appreciate the importance of developing resiliency to weather life's storms. I try to use a warm, relaxed, light approach to create an environment in which my clients can best maximize their counseling experience. I rely on the well-researched efficacy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address a wide array of conditions which may be impacting work and personal relationships. I utilize my strong empathetic ability along with effective active listening skills to help my clients feel understood. I try to assist them in achieving goals that they determine for themselves.
Problems, while not usually welcomed, often lead to greater personal growth and development. My personal philosophy is that if we are growing than we are really living. But, growth means change and change can be uncomfortable. I will be happy to offer you guidance and support as you take the next steps in your growth.

Jeff has been great to respond and give me the tools I need to help work through the situations I’ve been placed in. He always looks for the meaning in what I’m saying and responds more to that without diminishing my outlook.
