Jeffrey Morrison, LCSW
I began my professional career in 1989 after I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Since that time I graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 1996 and I received my license to practice independent social work in 2001. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, I see people on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons so perhaps we can set an appointment for one of those days. I will send you a survey to complete prior to the first session as a pre-measure, then in follow up sessions, we will complete the same assessment to measure progress. The first session will consist of me mostly listening, taking notes, and clarifying your
feelings. Based on this assessment and in collaboration with you, we will set realistic goals to help you find relief from the areas of life that are bringing dissatisfaction. Following this assessment and identification of goals, we identify action steps that may take the form of reading books, written assignments, or practicing skills that were discussed in the counseling session. For some, a referral to a Doctor may be suggested for adjunctive medication therapy. For some, therapy may be a few sessions
while others may need more sessions. However long it is, you will be a part of the decision-making process.
Additional areas of focus: Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Coping with life changes, Coaching, Compassion fatigue, Codependency, Communication Problems, Control Issues, Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Fatherhood Issues, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Isolation/Loneliness, Life Purpose, Men's Issues, Midlife Crisis, Military and Veterans Issues, Mood Disorders, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Social Anxiety and Phobia, Young Adult Issues
