About me

My only goal is to help you and your family work through life's challenges — big and small.

I am a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an online therapy practice. I completed by M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2000. I have a B.S. in Social Work from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

In the fifteen years since I began helping individuals and families as a therapist, I have focused my practice on brief therapy and solution-focused therapy. My goal is to make sure my clients reach a quick and effective solution to their varied challenges without dwelling on what brought them to therapy.

I have worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life in private practice and in multiple hospital settings in Florida, New York, and West Virginia. I taught other aspiring therapists as an Adjunct Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Marshall University in Charleston, West Virginia.

My experience has provided me with a deep insight and a practical view of the problems people face in their personal and professional lives. I have worked with families on relationship issues, marriage problems, and chemical dependency. As a result, I can help address a variety of issues in your life.

Jennifer is a fantastic therapist. She's been able to help me during an extremely complicated stressful time in my life. One which I never imagined I would have to go through but I am happy that Jennifer is here to help me. Jennifer is always on top of things often reaching out to me when I would not expect her to, that is a huge plus. Sometimes when you're going through hard things in life it's difficult to open up to people. She has made it much easier and at first I was not used to it because what I was going through myself. Jennifer give you homework, she pushes you to look inside yourself and believe in yourself. I myself I'm going through a transformation and it is quite the journey. It's not easy but having Jennifer by my side as my therapist has helped me tremendously to this point.

Jennifer is the light that you need when your entire world feels dark. Jennifer is you cheerleader when you don’t feel like you’ve done anything cheerworthy. When I accomplish something, anything, I can’t wait to tell her and hear her (literally) squeal for joy. Jen cares. Genuinely. Jen saved my life.

She has been my therapist during my grieving process of losing my husband in October. When I reached out to Better Help I was feeling rather depressed and overwhelmed. Jennifer helped me get through the rough patch by keeping it real and not letting me sweep my emotions under the carpet. She has kept me positive and reminds me that all the stages of grief are acceptable, even when I am angry about things. It is okay to cry if I need to and I don't have to be every body's rock, it's okay to not be okay. She has allowed me to speak my truth and not judged me for my beliefs, instead she has been reassuring and supportive. It has been nice to have someone, unbiased yet responsive to talk to.

Jennifer Albert has helped tremendously throughout the year and a half that she has been my therapist. She has been kind and supportive during and between our sessions, always helping me get to the root of my issues and helping me process and deal with whatever came up. I have progressed a lot throughout this year and a half thanks to my sessions with her. My anxiety has diminished significantly and I feel much more confident in dealing with my issues. Jennifer Albert is also always on time and makes scheduling of sessions easy and clear. She has always been there for me and has always been accommodating. I feel very lucky to have had her as my therapist!
