About Me

My only goal is to help you and your family work through life's challenges — big and small.

I am a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an online therapy practice. I completed by M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2000. I have a B.S. in Social Work from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

In the fifteen years since I began helping individuals and families as a therapist, I have focused my practice on brief therapy and solution-focused therapy. My goal is to make sure my clients reach a quick and effective solution to their varied challenges without dwelling on what brought them to therapy.

I have worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life in private practice and in multiple hospital settings in Florida, New York, and West Virginia. I taught other aspiring therapists as an Adjunct Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Marshall University in Charleston, West Virginia.

My experience has provided me with a deep insight and a practical view of the problems people face in their personal and professional lives. I have worked with families on relationship issues, marriage problems, and chemical dependency. As a result, I can help address a variety of issues in your life.

My experience with Jennifer was absolutely wonderful. She has such a warmth about her. She was very kind, very easy to talk to, and has a wonderful senses of humor. I really enjoyed my time working with her. She does message you back in a timely manner, which I like. I've work with two other therapist before face to face, but my experience with them just felt like I was not getting any where. Not saying they didn't help any. Only a little. But as soon as I express my concern to Jennifer about what my goals where, I felt as though she definitely understood where I was coming from. Therapy in my opinion, is not supposed to make you feel like your not getting any where or always feeling your money is being wasted or taken. It should be about wanting to achieve your goals, having closure with the issues you were dealing with, and eventually living the life you see yourself living. Because, eventually we have to move on and start putting what we learn and got from therapy into action. I feel like, I can see myself accomplishing these goals with Jennifer's help. I would recommend her because she shows she cares, and really wants to help you to succeed at accomplishing your goals that you truly want to accomplish. Thank you Jennifer.

Jennifer is very kind and professional, in a very short period of time she can make her client feel loved and appreciated. Which is essential for anyone seeking professional help. She also reassures not only emotionally but also physically that she's aware of her clients needs by responding in a timely manner and in a tactful way. Im very blessed and honored to have her as my therapist through BetterHelp.

Jennifer has been great. She listens to me and then makes me rationalize my thinking. I really enjoy just sending random messages and thoughts I am having and she keeps track of the random subjects I am on.

I can't even imagine my life without Jennifer. There are really no words to describe how much she has helped me get through some very difficult issues, except to say that I am extremely grateful for her.

I began working with Jennifer Albert (LMFT) about three months ago. I
had no prior experience with therapy of any kind, and I came seeking a
place where I could get help sorting myself out with no judgement, no
conflicted interests, and no pressure. I found all of that in Jennifer
and more.

I came to my first session a ball of conflict between societal
expectations, culture norms from work, pressure from family and
friends, and who I was versus who I wanted to be. By the end of that
first session all of those things were still there, but I knew I had
found my safe place. Jennifer made me feel completely comfortable, and
the beginning of our work together was an outpouring of my soul that I
hardly had any idea was there. It felt completely natural to open up
to her and just doing so was cathartic.

Far from just being a sounding board however, Jennifer cares deeply
about her clients. Perhaps it is her empathy that allows her to
connect on such a personal level so quickly, but energy and enthusiasm
are the real implements of her art. Her energy is infectious, and even
on my worst of days I would leave our sessions with a “can do” spirit
in my heart.

Now, I can’t claim to have everything figured out, and Jennifer isn’t
some magic cure-all. She’s a real person who has real conversations,
she cheers for your wins, and shares in your losses, adds some
perspective here, makes a suggestion there, and even sprinkles in some
corny jokes. But before I knew what was happening I was healing and
growing; I can say confidently that now I have the tools to make my
own way. My priorities are clearer, I am on a journey of self
exploration that will go on forever, and I’ve learned to let the noise
in my life be just that: noise. Maybe these things are intuitive and I
would have arrived here on my own eventually, but nobody has time to
wait around for “eventually,” and I can promise that spending an hour
or so a week talking to someone who really cares is much easier than
the curriculum offered at Hard Knocks.

I have been in therapy with Jennifer Albert for about three months now, and I can already say that she has drastically improved my overall well-being and happiness. Jennifer is very reliable, caring, and very easy to talk to. I am able to express myself without the fear of being judged or belittled. After each therapy session with Jennifer, it feels as if a weight has been lifted off my chest and I feel happier and at ease. I look forward to speaking with her each week, and I also love that I am able to write to her and expect a thoughtful response just within a few hours. I highly recommend Jennifer Albert, and I am so fortunate to have her as my therapist!

So my husband and I got to a point in our relationship that we knew it was time to seek therapy to save our marriage. Our marriage wasn't at the brink of divorce but it was being chipped away little by little with every argument. Both of us have had experience with therapy before and we knew how difficult it would be to open up to a total stranger. We also knew it would be difficult to find a good fit for us both since we are very different in how we communicate. We decided to take a shot and see how it would go, so we were paired with Jennifer and begun therapy. It was a great relief for us that she was exactly what we both needed…a therapist that does not judge or impose their opinions. We have been seeing her now for some months and she's gotten to now us at our own pace. Now we are ready to begin doing the work and learning the lessons we need to effectively communicate and not tear our relationship apart. It's great to know that we get to do this work and learn from someone like Jennifer who is amazing at communicating and understanding. She makes it easier for us to express ourselves and that makes it easier for us to learn the necessary lessons from her. To say we are extremely happy that we were matched with such a great therapist is an understatement!

Jennifer has been so helpful and is so encouraging. She is easy to talk to and write to, she replies promptly and has thought provoking responses. I feel comfortable with her and have developed a trusting relationship with her even though we don't sit in the same room together which was something that i was worried about prior to starting online therapy. I am very happy with her.

I am fortunate to have been paired with my counselor. She seems to get me and it helps me through my days. Thanks.

Honestly, if I had to schedule time in my day to take off work, drive to an office, wait in the waiting room, see a counselor, and then go back to work to make up the time I missed, I would not seek help.

I feel like being matched with Jennifer Albert has been perfect. It's not awkward to tell her exactly what's going on with me and I know she is taking time to listen to me and process what I am saying before responding. I am already feeling differently about some things in my life and look forward to more time for me.

Jennifer is awesome! She has been with me at every step, helping me be a better me, and I can clearly see and feel how much I have improved from when I first started with her. She's very supportive and helpful while at the same time knowing when to push and get you out of your comfort zone and grow even more.
