Written on May 20, 2022 after therapy with Jennifer for 2 weeks on issues concerning relationship issues
Jennifer is doing great with me. Im still having an issue with motivation. Ive tried to deal with this issue with a life coach in Florida for the past few months. Jennifer is coming up with organization tools to build me up because I have a low self worth. I know that the motivation and low self worth are connected. Im having mixed results so far with the organization tools, but its still early.

Jennifer is the only therapist I’ve ever stuck with. She listens intently and offers real time advice and practices. I’ve been seeing her for about 2 months and I enjoy meeting with her! As a teacher, most of my problems are centered around school. She’s helping me cope with the things I can’t change and how to identify ways I can better my relationships with the school(leaving work at work, talking positively with coworkers, behavior management with the kids). Jennifer feels like a friend that I can vent to, but then she can turn around and offer me advice that will help me achieve goals, rather than vent back. She’s not afraid to call me out on my bull crap and I so appreciate that. I love spending time with Jennifer and I’m so thankful I matched with her.

Jennifer is the first of many counsellors in my life to help identify why I feel I am a terrible person. She does not pander to my self deprecation. She agrees I must change and is offering concrete feedback on how I can find a way to be a better human being and live with who I have become.

This medium of virtual counseling is so valuable right now. Mental health care is so stigmatized and Better Help has created a great space to get matched with someone who can meet you (mentally) where you’re at.
