About me

Hi there! I’m Jennifer and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Florida and Utah. I have been in the field and working with clients for over a decade. Throughout that time, I have worked in various settings, including community mental health, private practice, inpatient behavioral health, and within public schools. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor (CIEC) and I specialize in helping people struggling with eating disorders/eating and food-related issues, body image concerns, low self-esteem, and anxiety. I also specialize in and have spent a great deal of time working with couples helping them to improve communication skills, increase emotional intimacy, heal from infidelities and broken trust, learn effective ways to manage conflict, and strengthen the foundation of their relationship. I am a Level 1 Gottman Method trained therapist and a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. I am also trained in play therapy and have extensive experience working with children, teens, and families in order to help manage concerns ranging from family conflict, divorce/separation, parenting concerns, behavioral issues, reunification, and grief and loss. I am also a Certified facilitator of the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting Program (STEP). I primarily utilize a person-centered approach, meeting clients where they are by implementing empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental environment. I believe YOU are the expert of your own life. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me outdoors (I’m a true, born and raised Floridian!): cycling, hiking, running, gardening, paddleboarding, or reading a book on the beach. I also love to travel, try new recipes in the kitchen, and most of all, spend time with my family.

I believe in a warm, fun, collaborative style of therapy, and I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to gain the insight and awareness they need in order to express themselves, heal, change unhealthy patterns, and reach their goals. You’ve already made a huge, brave first step toward healing and feeling so much better. I am ready when you are to join you on your continued journey. You are not alone.

I look forward to getting to know you and learning how I can help.
