About me
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with over 16 years of experience working as a clinical mental health therapist in both state and non-profit organizations. I have worked with adult clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance health, difficult life adjustments, and communication challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced emotional dysregulation and wounded relationships.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in therapeutic partnership treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My symptom based approach combines evidenced-based treatment modalities of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, acceptance & commitment and behavioral-activation therapy. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, meaningful, and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jennifer Lanners. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have recommended this program to many. I didn’t realize how useful it would be!!
Jenny is a clear and intelligent communicator. She is dedicated to her work in a way that feels organic and makes you feel comfortable and heard. I would highly recommend Jenny to folks who are in need of feeling validated and challenged to love themselves deeper.
I am thankful to have Jennifer as my therapist. Looking forward to talking to her again
She has been the greatest therapist I could have ever asked for. She helped me in so many ways that I didn't even know needed changing. She has shifted my mindset for the better and I owe her my life for it. I am sad to say goodbye to someone so kind, amazing, and bubbly. Thank you for your all of your efforts to help me see my potential and finally accept my pain.
After a few failed attempts, I have finally found a therapist who is interested in helping me to be my best self. Jenny is supportive and kind, but also honest and fair in her feedback. I’m so glad to have her as a resource and Better Help was great about giving me options when I did not feel connected to other therapists.
Great therapist!
She’s a wonderful therapist and a great listener. Very grateful for her expertise and ideas. Highly recommend!
I love her.
Jennifer was such a great listener to my challenging concerns. I’m grateful for her input. I look forward to learning all she has to offer. Thank you Jennifer for our 1st session.
Jennifer is tough and pushes my boundaries. I have been super depressed lately and she has helped me navigate some of my issues
Jenny is kind, compassionate, and understanding. She takes the time to listen and hear what you need to say while offering helpful advice and solutions to what you are experiencing. My first experience in therapy has been very healing thanks to Jenny!
