About Me

Personal difficulties can be very disheartening. Whether you are experiencing emotional pain, are seeing your children struggle to make good decisions, or are longing for an improved marriage, you can be left feeling defeated, helpless and angry. But things can get better.

As a clinical therapist, I am experienced in working with those who are facing life’s struggles. Together we can explore the source of the problems, set goals to improve your situation, and lay out steps to reach those goals. All that is needed is a commitment to work toward making things better, and a belief that you are not stuck in the muck of today.

I am a graduate of Notre Dame, and hold a Master's degree in clinical counseling. I love helping people and have a warm approach, but am also known to challenge people to take active steps toward improvement and a happier life.

Truly things can get better once you take the first steps, and I would be happy to help you reach your goals of improved happiness, success and joy.

There are few people I have meet that can take a verbal rambling, take it apart, and make sense of what I am trying to say. I feel Jennifer has been able to talk me through some of the problems I have and bring me to a better place.

The thing I appreciate the most about Jennifer is how much respect I feel that she has for me. I have tried to get counseling in other places, and have always, always felt like the therapist was not seeing me as a mature, smart, powerful actor in my own life. Instead, leaving sessions with other counselors feeling 'talked down to' or approached like I was damaged and in need of either rescue or a wake up call-neither of these being true for me. Jennifer demonstrates with every interaction a desire to understand me and help me understand myself. I needed a calm, supportive professional to help me move forward and heal. I feel like I have found that with Jennifer Martin.
