About me

First of all, allow me to congratulate you on seeking out assistance for your mental health!

Let me take a few moments to tell you about myself. I live in a rural area of the Texas Panhandle. My husband and I have been married for 22 years. We have twin boys that are 14 years old. We love to do anything outdoors! I received my Bachelor's degree from West Texas A & M University in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling from Angelo State University. I completed my coursework for my Licensed Professional Counselor license at West Texas A & M. I have been in the public school system for 18 years. Twelve being an elementary teacher and six as a K-12 school counselor. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to pursue private practice therapy full time. I've never been more happy about a career move than I am right now! I have offices in 2 different towns as well as seeing clients online.

In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a certified Yoga Instructor. I love to help my clients discover where in their body they hold tensions and help them let it go.

I think therapy is not something done TO you, it is a process done WITH you. I will be right by your side every step of the way to a healthier you. We will move up and down the mountains of your life together. I look at therapy as a joint process, where the therapist and client work together towards the client’s goals. Everyone deserves a safe place to be heard. It is a big step to seek help for life's ups and downs. I'd be honored to help you!

I can teach you the tools you need to lead a healthier, more mindful, and happier life. If we are bombarded with negative emotions, we aren't able to see the beauty of life all around us.

Contact me today if you are interested in building a strong foundation for coping with life's troubles.

Jennifer is the kindest, sweetest person, while still being a bad ass counselor who knows her stuff. I feel like I’m chit chatting with a friend who actually knows how to help me.

Ms. Peevey is an amazing counselor for anyone who likes to discuss their thoughts and behaviors openly and honestly without judgement. I have enjoyed getting to know her and getting her various methods of help to cope with anxiety and self-doubt.
