About Me
Hi! I'm Jennifer, I want to tell you a little about myself. My work focuses on individuals and groups that struggle with trauma, anxiety and related disorders, as well as mild depression, and overall mental/emotional wellness. All of these can be difficult to navigate alone. I am here to offer a safe space, for whatever is weighing on you. When we begin, much like when you build any other relationship, I would like to build our therapeutic relationship. I believe the best therapy takes place when it begins person-centered, meaning we take a little time to build the therapeutic relationship, build trust and have open, honest communication. I want you to know this is a safe environment for you to share your thoughts and feelings, there is no judgment. I encourage honest feedback from you, not only regarding your goals but also our work together. I would like you to be direct about what works, what does not work or if things are going well. This is a collaborative process and we can often adjust to make things a better fit for your needs.
I am a Wake Forest University graduate, holding a Master of Arts in Counseling degree with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Chi Sigma Iota Pi Alpha Chapter and hold both the nationally certified counselor (NCC) and the certified clinical trauma professional designation (CCTP). I'm happy to answer any other questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to talking soon!

Jennifer has been extremely helpful and supportive in my time of need. I have been struggling and slogging my way through the aftermath of a traumatic breakup. I don't feel judged by her at all; I believe she recognizes the person I am trying to become and is helping me baby-step down the path to my ultimate emotional freedom, satisfaction, and self-actualization. She has helped me navigate difficult mood swings and verbalize my desires, even if they are fantasy. I would recommend her to any of my friends for counselling.
Jennifer is phenomenal. I’m grateful to have been matched with her. From the moment I first corresponded with her, I felt heard. She is able to make connections of things I didn’t even realize were there.
