Hi! You just made the single HARDEST and MOST IMPORTANT decision to feel better by asking for help.
My name is Jennifer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been providing supportive counseling for around 18 years. This means I will listen to you, your problems, and challenges, so I can learn to better understand you. By understanding what you need and hope to accomplish, I will be able to help you with your current life challenges. This will help us to work towards making improvements that will help you feel better about yourself right away and in the future. How does that sound to you?
Initially, in therapy, it might seem like therapy is going slow as you share your experiences and I learn to understand your feelings and ideas. Hopefully, I will be able to provide some calming exercises, as well as some “short-term solutions” that will help you feel better right away. It is hard to function daily when you are feeling anxious and stressed and cannot concentrate on daily activities.
Life can seem so confusing and hard to navigate sometimes. Even though it feels like you are alone, you are not. Many people go through different stages in life and have trouble “finding their way”. You may find it helpful to know that I have experience being the “client” in a “counseling relationship” and I was very choosy about what I looked for in my therapist/counselor. I am a person who needs to know I can say absolutely anything to my counselor, and they will not think any less of me. I need to feel understood, validated, and that my therapist is genuinely concerned for my well-being. I hope you know I will be here for you in the same way. Together we can work towards finding peace and contentment in your life now, and in your future. If all this sounds like a plan you would like to work on, let me know, and we can begin as soon as you like. I am looking forward to helping you feel better! Jennifer is an amazing counselor. Without her, I would not be where I am today. She has been the most supportive patient caring counselor I have ever had. I cannot say enough good things about her.
So far I feel super comfortable talking to her . She understands and listens to me :)
Jennifer has really helped me get my head straight. I have a hard time setting boundaries as I have been extremely codependent my entire life. She had come to feel kind and nurturing in a way that I haven’t felt in therapy and Ive had a lot of therapy.
I have already recommended this service to all of my friends and social media followers. I feel like Jennifer is the PERFECT therapist for me; she is so supportive and positive and I’m so glad that I was paired with her. BetterHelp is an amazing service!! Keep doing what you do!!!
Jennifer and I just started our counseling and she has been so talkative and attieve to me, I look forward to this journey with her.
Jennifer is a therapist of high quality. She is knowledgable of many different techniques and theories. I'm very satisfied with her kind approach to me and my needs. I feel like I can improve with her as my therapist.
