About me

I am a seasoned clinician who helps people change behaviors and narratives that interfere with their ability to lead meaningful and productive lives. Whether you suffer from anxiety, trauma, depression or find relationships challenging and oftentimes, unsatisfying, talking with an experienced psychotherapist can radically improve the quality of your life. Sometimes our stress is caused by our work, stalled career plans or difficult people in our lives. Sometimes painful emotions seem to come out of nowhere and stop us dead in our tracks. My talents have enabled me to succeed in helping patients resolve their problems – not just overcome them - regardless of their origin.
My ability to help comes from years of study along with decades of work in both the public and private sector. I have run a NYC hospital based alcohol detox unit. I have provided both therapy and coaching to financial consultants and, through my work at Merrill Lynch, I have had the honor and challenge of providing crisis counseling following the Columbine Shootings, Oklahoma City bombing and the September 11th attack on America.
No one theory is adequate to explain the behavior of everyone and no single approach works for all patients. The best treatment comes from well-trained therapists who know how to provide a safe environment where problems are studied and not judged thereby helping patients develop greater self-understanding and tolerance for all their feelings. It is through the therapeutic relationship that people come to feel empowered and able to get what they want in life.
I believe that talk therapy can move mountains. And, I believe that therapy starts with the first contact. I look forward to your call or text.

Jennifer is experienced, kind, intelligent and wise. She has the strength to handle the disturbing events of my past. I feel extremely safe and heard with her.

Jennifer listens really well and asks the right questions to help me find the answers on my own; rather than lecturing me and telling me what to do, she involves me in the process of self discovery and that is the best way to teach a person. I appreciate her approach and her point of view and her honesty.

Jennifer has been very helpful with all my concerns and questions that I’ve needed help with. She offers a welcoming space to discuss anything, whether easy or difficult. She has helped me overcome many obstacles that I never thought I could in just a few months and I can’t wait to continue to work with her in the future and see what else I can work through with her. My sessions with her have offered me times of comfort and necessary talks to confront certain issues I’ve been avoiding for quite some time. She has made me realize that not all my problems are my own fault but sometimes there are actions that need to be taken on my end to finally feel a sense of peace. Not only have I learned more about how to respond to others but I’ve also faced many challenges that I thought I would never overcome and have felt more capable than ever before! If you want someone who truly listens and allows you to speak your truth while also offering the help you need then she is the best person for the job!
