About me

I am a full time wife, mom, and therapist. I'm a real person who has the same day-to-day struggles you do.

I question if I'm a "good enough" mama, a "good enough" wife, a "good enough" therapist. I wake up every day vowing to accomplish everything on my to-do list...knowing full well that I'll be lucky to get through half of it. Your are not alone. You do not have to do this alone.

I know how uncomfortable and vulnerable you can feel when you start the search for outside help. We tend to feel like we should be able to "feel better" on our own, and that if we seek outside help, there is something wrong with us.

I am here to tell you that that type of thinking couldn't be further from the truth! The fact that you are brave enough to ask for help confirms that you are brave and strong and already on the path to personal growth.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 14 years and have 10,000+ hours of direct client contact. I specialize in multiple mental health disciplines utilizing human development, psychology, family therapy, as well as guidance and counseling to nurture and empower children, teens, parents, and couples. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem and confidence, and relationships and communication styles.

I attended Sam Houston State University, earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (2000), and while teaching in both the public and private sectors, I earned a M.A. in Psychology from Houston Baptist University (2005). I am a round-the-clock “domestic engineer”, mom to two teenagers, and run my full-time counseling practice in Sugar Land, TX.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Jennifer is amazing! I am so grateful to have found her on BetterHelp. She is fun, compassionate, knowledgeable, and really creates a space where I feel safe to be all of me.

I feel I can bring anything to her and she will hold it with zero judgement so we can examine it together to find the next steps in my journey.

It’s been so good for my development

Jennifer is insightful and intuitive, which I find helpful to observe and process my own thoughts. She is not only experienced, but also warm and kind. She has the ‘zen’-like air around her. I highly recommend her.
