About me

Do you often find yourself grappling with feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, and a sense of being stuck in life's challenges? Are you yearning for relief from constant stress, hoping to discover a deeper sense of peace and serenity? Perhaps you’ve encountered periods of mild depression. Do you have the experience of living with chronic health issues? If you are looking for a holistic therapist with an integrative health background, we could be a great match.

WORKING WITH ME: During our initial session, we'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals. Feel free to ask any questions you have, and together, we'll decide if we'll continue working together. My priority is ensuring you are comfortable and that you find the right therapist for your needs. If necessary, I may refer you to another therapist if our fit isn't optimal.

It is important to me to foster a non-judgmental and safe atmosphere where you are free to take on new challenges to support your growth and healing process. I utilize a variety of theories and approaches that may include person-centered, strengths based, solution focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Soon, I will also be offering Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I can also offer mental health therapy from a Christian perspective if that is something that is important to you. Our conversations and treatment plan will be customized to address your individual needs.

ABOUT ME: For the past 20+ years I have enjoyed the role of social worker in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health, case management, recovery community, managed care, schools, and medical clinics and home care. I have worked with people of all ages and walks of life. For the past 9 years I have also worked and volunteered in various integrative health settings as a clinical aromatherapist and wellness coach. I am an educator and teach aromatherapy at a community college.

It is important that I engage in a variety of activities to help manage stress, maintain balance, and improve my own health and well-being. I encourage my clients to find something that works for them.

Credentials:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 2008
Certificate in Wellness Coaching since 2016
Certified Clinical Aromatherapist since 2017
Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional since 2023

Taking these initial steps toward a more fulfilling and joyful life requires courage, and I'm here to provide the support and empowerment you need on this journey.

*One additional note!* As most of us do, I wear many hats in my life. Thus, my schedule is often full through BetterHelp. In the event that you match with me, and my schedule is full at that time, I am happy to redirect you to make sure that you're getting the help that you need by another highly skilled therapist.

The Lord knew what He was doing when he connected me with Jen. I have learned very specific techniques to calm myself and cope with things I cannot change. Anxiety, depression, and grief are struggles she is helping me with. I am grateful.
