About me

Pain is often an unavoidable part of life, but suffering doesn't have to be. In my many years of experience with a wide variety of people, I have found that humans are resilient and that we can learn effective ways to overcome our challenges. Hope is real and change is possible. We all want to be heard, understood, and encouraged, and sharing your pain is a great first step toward living a more fulfilling life. I look forward to getting to know the real you so I can support you in living the life you most want to live and being the person you most want to be. I believe you can live a life of meaning and purpose even in the face of your challenges and even with the pain you may be carrying.

I have 10 years of experience in the mental health field, first as a case manager and then as a therapist and supervisor at a community clinic. I have worked with many different types of people and have a big heart for those who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I have developed clinical teaching tools and provided trainings for other professional counselors on several topics, including ethics, gambling addiction, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My bachelor’s in psychology is from Georgetown University and my master’s in counseling is from Oklahoma State.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading with a good cup of coffee or tea, listening to music, running and cycling with my wife, playing tennis and volleyball, and spending time with my many nieces and nephews (14 and counting!).

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oklahoma and an International Certified Gambling Counselor (ICGC).

It’s obvious to me that Jeremy truly wishes to help me sort through my emotions. He’s genuine, respectful, listens without interruption, and is non-judgemental.

Jeremy is exceedingly patient and is really a great listener, and a guy that I’ve really enjoyed meeting with over the last couple of weeks. He’s really been helping me with some things that I just have not been able to get out of my head on my own, and really helping me to recognize some things that I’ve been too embarrassed/judgmental to acknowledge in my own head. I’m immensely grateful for our sessions every week, and he’s always really great at keeping me focused on the things I can control and exercises to get me back and focused in a clear headspace.

He not only responds in a timely manner but he also responds effectively. He truly listens to everything I have to say. He pays attention to the details that I myself often miss. He always points me in the right direction and is sensitive to my particular needs.

Jeremy has definitely shown the patience that I have yet to see in a lot of counselors and the fact that he actually takes the time to listen and try and understand you before suggesting ways to resolve the issues you are having shows the experience he has.
