Welcome. Since you are here looking at profiles, I would guess you are struggling with some area of your life. I’m glad you are here and this is a BRAVE thing you are doing. A little about me and how I can help.
My name is Jessica Beane and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) in Michigan. I earned a BA at Wayne State University (2004) in psychology and a minor in sociology. I obtained my MS from University of Phoenix (2014) in Mental Health Counseling. I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field. I started out working in a residential center for teenage girls as a youth counselor/direct care aid, rehabilitation specialist at a clubhouse, and a case manager in a Community Mental Health (CMH) agency. I have a variety of experience with different populations including teenagers all the way to the elderly. I have worked with individuals from the inner city, suburbs, and rural areas. I have worked with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, trauma, abuse, rituals, OCD, relationships issues, domestic violence, substance use/addictions, and self esteem issues.
My therapeutic style begins with developing rapport with a client. This is extremely important because individuals like yourselves will be sharing intimate details of their lives and need to feel safe. I use an integrated model overall because I find it important to have a large tool box when working with people. CBT and motivational interviewing are two models I use the most. I believe the importance of learning how thoughts affect feelings which trigger behaviors. I also find it useful and beneficial to assist clients in getting motivated for change. My belief is that everyone deserves inner peace and happiness. I hope to walk with you along this journey and help you feel better and be your truest self. Progress over perfection is key and we can do hard things.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am excited to hear from you and start this journey. I understand finding the right fit is so important and can take time. I am here to assist in any way possible. Remember you CAN do hard things. Keep being BRAVE.

I absolutely love Jessica. I started seeing her about 8 months ago when I was having issues with my significant other at the time. I was in a terrible place, struggling with depression and anxiety, and in an extremely tumultuous, toxic relationship. If it weren’t for Jessica, I’m not sure I would have ever had the strength to leave him. She has been there for me every step of the way and I couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance and support through one of the hardest times of my life. She continues to give me strength every session, and I would recommend her to anyone who is struggling. You are not alone! And Jessica does a great job of making you feel that way. Coming to BetterHelp was the best decision I ever made.
She is timely, honest, and effective! I was so fortunate to get matched with her as my first counselor. She has helped me through some tough issues and continues to support me through my learning and progress. I’m excited to continue working with her!
As a person in the field of counseling I can confidently say that Jessica does a wonderful job she responds quickly is very accessible and honest and open with her feedback. I appreciated the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas feelings with her. She is an asset to the better help organization.
Jessica is always available, listens, and is very supportive, but at the same time makes you work at it, I appreciate her.
Jessica is very down to earth and relatable.
Jessica offered insightful questions right from the start that have helped me improve my inner dialogue as I work on processing emotions and situations that have been eating at me for a long time. I think all things happen at the right time and for a reason and I’m grateful for this match. I feel challenged to talk with myself but don’t feel pressured. I also appreciate how quickly she replies, with insights that I think prove she’s good at getting to the heart of my thoughts.
Jessica is amazing, in only 3 weeks she has been more helpful than any other therapist or doctor that I have worked with in my 20 year history of dealing with Panic Disorder.
She has gone above and beyond in terms of her availability, responsiveness and genuine interest in my issues.
