Please Note: At this time I am only accepting clients that want "chat/text" sessions or no live sessions but messaging with a therapist. This is due to all live video/phone sessions. Being scheduled at this time.
Welcome! My name is Jessica and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Tennessee. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, adoption, trauma, and parenting problems. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, mobile crisis, outpatient, and in-home. I feel like that is important to explain as, it means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and rational-emotive counseling. At times, I do incorporate mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe in collaboration and working together to establish concrete goals and steps for you to help overcome your current concerns.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
