About me
Let's face it: Life is hard. And when you add into the mix unhealed childhood wounds, challenging relationships, crushed hopes and disappointments, sicknesses, grief, loss, mental illness, and challenges in all shapes and sizes, we often find ourselves in a season of life where we need a little bit more help to get through.
My name is Jessica Cooper. I have been a therapist for over 10 years. Having had the privilege to work with a variety of different populations--children & teens, the elderly, domestic abuse survivors, wounded warriors & hurting women (to name a few)-- I have discovered that no matter what situation we are facing, there are patters of thinking and doing that contribute to furthering our pain but likewise, patters that we can implement that can aide in our healing. You and I will be a good fit for each other if you desire to develop tools to overcome what you are facing and you are willing to put in the work to heal.
I received my bachelor’s and master’s from Baylor University. While my style is eclectic, designed to meet your specific needs, I typically utilize CBT, NLP, and Strengths-Based Perspective in my work.
Whether your goal is to heal from loss or trauma, get out of toxic environments or relationships, break the pattern of mental or emotional dysfunction, or to just feel like yourself again, I will empathize with you, validate you, and also empower you to get you through this season of your life.
