About me
At one point in our lives, each of us will need someone who is willing to hear and hold our pain. I count it as a privilege when I am invited in to another's life at a time of hurt, crisis, or crossroads. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience. I know that every person I meet has a story to be told, and not one story is the same. As a result, I know that there is not one single counseling approach that is the right fit for all. Through the use of a client and strengths based approach, as well as motivational interviewing, I will work to create an environment that is customized for your healing. Together we will travel this journey to a more peaceful, healthier, and safer way of life.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Illinois University and a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University. Social work has afforded me the opportunity to work with several populations in a variety of settings. I have held the titles of Outpatient therapist, Counselor, Hospice Social Worker, and School Social Worker. Regardless of the setting, it is always an honor to witness healing and transformation in another's life.
