I am a PhD level counselor licensed in Tennessee with nine years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, and addiction related issues.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe we are all worthy of being treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is tailored to the individual but I have found a lot of benefit in blending cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and mindfulness based counseling approaches. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes a lot of courage just to make that first contact for help. I am here to empower you and be with you each step of the way as we face life’s challenges together.
I look forward to working with you!

I love dr. Hamm, she listens to what I have to say, and replies as much as she can with each message, and is very good at responding and listening to you!

She is the first therapist that I have actually trusted to be open and accept the help from her. I definitely would refer her to anyone who is looking for counseling. I have learned a lot of how to help with different things in my life and she doesn’t ever make me feel like, “ well your time is up… next”. I’m treated as a person and not just my paycheck.

Dr. Hamm has been very kind and understanding, and informative regarding the issues I've presented. She has followed up with me consistently, even when I've not reciprocated the contact in a timely manner.

First and foremost, Jessica is compassionate. She creates a welcoming environment where you can be yourself and be open about what you’re going through. I’ve been seeing her for about 3-4 months and have seen so much improvement in how I feel. :)
