About me

Hello and welcome! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe in a strength based approach to personal healing and growth. As a therapist, I respect the opportunity to work with individuals and families struggling with grief and loss by providing a safe place to share, learn and heal.

I foster empathy and acceptance as patients and families address life changing diagnoses and care needs. With over ten years of experience providing support to individuals and caregivers struggling with dementia and mood related issues, I utilize an integrated approach including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychotherapy. I seek to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and tools they need to promote dignity and wellness.

Finally, my background in grief and loss counseling has also prepared me to address the unrecognized and often untreated issues associated with pet loss, specifically the complicated and overwhelming emotions associated with chronic and terminal care of a pet, related end of life issues, and the emotionally challenging process of pet surrender.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Your insight and willingness to seek support is the first step toward healing and growth. I wish you the best on your journey!

Jessica is very helpful, more so than of my past therapists. She takes the time to listen. She makes helpful suggestions. She incorporates my spiritual beliefs into those suggestions.

Absolutely the best therapist I've had over my many years of therapy! Wonderfully understanding, skilled in many kinds of therapy and knowledgeable about many tactics. Tailors each visit for my needs and finds analogies and ways of understanding that fit me personally! No cookie cutter responses, truly understanding and personalized care.

Jessica is an amazing therapist. She listens to my concerns and lets us focus on what im feeling is most important at that moment. She’s always respectful in the way she communicates her thoughts and responds to me way faster and more frequently than I initially expected when I signed up for better help. I would absolutely recommend Jessica and better help to friends and family.

I am new to therapy and was uncomfortable with the idea but decided to just jump in. Jessica has made it a delightful experience and has been incredibly helpful. She’s also made me feel comfortable to be open and she tries to personally get to know me rather than solely doing her job. I truly feel like I’m listed to and supported.
