About me
Life is full of ups and downs. In recent times, for many of us, there have been more “downs” than usual. Maybe you want to connect with someone impartial so you can get back “up.” Maybe you’re experiencing a major life change that has left you feeling stuck. Maybe you’ve realized that events or memories from your past are causing you more trouble day-to-day than ever before. While life is unpredictable, what is certain is that we all need a little help sometimes (and it’s ok to ask for it!).
After completing my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Florida State University, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2011 with a Masters in Social Work. Now, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I empower people to utilize their own tools and strengths to handle life’s inevitable difficulties. I’ve worked in Inpatient and Outpatient mental health and substance abuse settings. Primarily, I’ve partnered with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, drug and/or alcohol use, and severe/persistent mental illness. Additional areas of experience are walking through challenges that come with those experiencing infertility as well as medical parenthood. I help clients by using a variety of theoretical perspectives including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and strengths perspective.
Finding someone who is present in our pain and empathetic to our struggles can be difficult. My goal is not to rush you to “feel better,” but to walk with you as you find the most helpful way to manage your life’s uncertainties. I would love to partner with you.
