About Me

Welcome! My name is Jessica Liedka. I received my Masters of Arts degree in counseling from Texas A&M University San Antonio in 2014. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and I have been working in the mental health field for seven years. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and children both in individual and group settings. For the past four years I have worked in the community with adults suffering from severe mental illness struggling with many different issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stress management, grief, trauma, abuse, family and relationship issues, behavioral problems and substance abuse.
My approach to clients is simple, meet them where they are. My therapy style is eclectic, and I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
I believe each client is unique and is the expert in their lives and I want to be there to support you along your journey. My main focus in my treatment is establishing a therapeutic relationship with the person first and foremost as I believe having a good connection helps facilitate effective counseling and the best possible outcome.
You have taken the first steps in creating a healthier, happier you and I would be honored to help you in that journey!

LPC #74598 (Expires: 2021-12-31)

Written by K.A. on Sep 10, 2020 after counseling with Jessica for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, coping with life changes, and adhd

I appreciate Jessica’s ability to listen, understand, and relate while keeping things casual, but professional. I feel like we “speak the same language” in a way and she’s very easy to talk to. I don’t feel like she speaks over my head and I feel like her advice is always relatable and relevant. I feel like I am able to get things out and even talk in circles sometimes, but she keeps me on track and helps me unpack my thoughts in a way that is easy to understand. I would very much recommend Jessica to anyone seeking any type of counseling.
