Jessica Camp
About me
I am a registered addictions counsellor based in the UK. I have 9 years experience working in a drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation treatment centre providing a person-centred approach within the organization's self-empowerment ethos. I am also the therapeutic lead for a well established supported housing project. In both settings I work with clients who present with complex emotional and physical needs. As a result, I am very familiar in working with people who have issues such as:
Anxiety
Depression
Domestic Violence
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE)
Trauma
Dual Diagnosis
The nature of my counselling practice both within addiction and private work has predominantly centred around my ability to form reparative, secure relationships. I use an integrative approach in my practice based on Clarksons systemic psycho-therapeutic model of building relationships. This allows me to provide a unique approach when working with clients drawing on different models to provide a tailored way of working specific to them as an individual.
I feel passionate about providing clients with the security of this therapeutic relationship, offering them the space to explore and process some of those more challenging experiences and find ways to manage the feelings attached to this.

I worked with jess for over a year and can honestly say I don't think I would be where I am mentally now, had it not been for her. She created this space for me where I felt seen, heard and safe. She has this warmth about her. She listens and really challenges the way I think that then allows me to open my mind to different possibilities and situations. Some of the things I was struggling with was not even necessarily “in her area of expertise” yet it felt likeshe was a subject matter expert

Talking with Jess has been enlightening, I'd no idea what to expect and struggled with the whole thing at first. But Jess' calm manner and patience has really helped.

I just had my first session with Jessica and it was brilliant, I felt comfortable straight from the get go and Jessica’s understanding of my needs was well presented and everything I spoke about was listened to and broke down in terms I can easily understand. The first session of many but I’m happy with Jessica’s expertise and look forward to my future growth. Thanks again
