About me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia (LMFT) and I have been working in the counseling field since 2012. I have experience conducting individual and group therapy, in-office and online, with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting issues, teen concerns, and a wide range of challenges including grief/loss, addiction, trauma, abuse, bipolar, as well as personal growth, adjustment issues, and crisis. For the past nine years I have worked within the Georgia prison system to provide counseling services to female offenders that have been placed in a treatment program to address mental illness and substance addiction.

My counseling style is empathetic, integrative, and person-centered. I believe that the therapy process should be collaborative to allow myself and the client(s) to work together to re-author perspectives and to discover solutions and insights that will help the client find new ways to thrive.

In my work with clients, I use some leading psychological modalities, such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also utilize the Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, Strategic, and Trauma-Focused approaches. I am also a Certified Grief Specialist.
