About me

It might be that you feel you can do better in your relationships or career. Or that you are concerned about what your future looks like. Maybe you would like to end blue moods or constant worry, but don't know how to do this. Sometimes it is difficult to make changes on your own, and I am here to help. I value respect, sensitivity, and collaboration in my work, and aim to provide safety and support as we work toward your goals. I have worked extensively with individuals who have struggled with issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting, and relationship difficulties. One of my greatest strengths has been the ability to connect with individuals and partner in their path to growth, insight, and happiness.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with additional certification in psychoanalytic training. I have practiced for over 20 years in New York City and Southern California, working with a diverse range of clients from various socioeconomic, ethnic, cultural, religious, and racial backgrounds. I utilize an integrative approach, including client-centered, CBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy in my work. I partner with my clients to help ease their current discomfort as well as work towards achieving mutually agreed upon goals.

Whether you are an adult, a teenager, a concerned parent, or a hopeful couple, I believe the most important role I have as a therapist is to develop a trusting relationship with you so that you can feel free to explore your experiences and feelings in a safe environment. Let's work together to understand why you may feel stuck or not as productive as you would like to be. I believe that weekly live sessions are most effective in helping people, but I am happy to work with you in whatever way you feel most comfortable. I check my emails twice per weekday, and am open to working to set sessions at times other than those listed in my schedule, as I know that life is constantly changing and requires some flexibility. I congratulate you in taking the first step towards improving your life and making a change, and I look forward to working with you.
