I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping people with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, disordered eating, OCD, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and challenging life transitions. Some of my experience has been focused on helping people who have an unhealthy relationship with food overcome unhealthy eating behaviors and feel at home in their bodies.
My counseling style is non-judgmental, compassionate, and based on my belief that each person is unique and served best by an individualized approach in helping them to achieve their goals. My integrative approach combines elements of several therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I am also an EMDR trained therapist and believe that often, the symptoms and problems we experience are rooted in the past. I like to get feedback from the individuals with whom I work in order to better tailor the therapy experience to their specific needs and to ensure that they are benefiting from our time together..

At first I was hesitant about using BetterHelp. To be honest, the first therapist I met through this site was not helpful and we did not connect. After asking to change my therapist I was matched with Jillian. When Jillian first answered me back I immediately knew that she heard me out and cared about what I had said and what I needed help in. I feel like she listens to me and has already helped me realize so much about myself. She has been great so far!

Jillian is a terrific counselor. I had prior bad experiences elsewhere and I was surprised at Jillian’s compassion, and ability to identify with my issues and provide helpful feedback.
