About me

My name is Joanmarie Nolan-Miller and I have been a Psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. I attended NYU and Fairleigh Dickinson University. I have an MA in Clinical Psychology/Addictions Counseling and Post Graduate Training from the Albert Ellis Institute, and Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am certified in ThetaHealing and am a National Certified Counselor. I have worked with a myriad of patient populations in hospital inpatient settings as well as outpatient and private practice and consider it an honor and a privilege to be in this field, especially at this time. What I hope each client comes away with, is the understanding that he/she is the master of their own destiny and that all things are possible. I no longer believe in labels, nor in determinism by genetics, environment or fate. I believe each of us is capable of great things limited only by our own thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors - all of which are within our control and power to change if we wish. By working through old programming and limiting beliefs and making the unconscious conscious, the world is your oyster. Are you ready to love your life? Come work with me. The best is yet to be.

Joanne I’d the very best of therapists. She gives me skills, she listens when I talk and more importantly, she tells it like it should be but does it in the very best of ways. I will never change my therapist!

I had the pleasure of meeting Joanmarie Nolan-Miller recently and was extremely impressed with her professionalism, helpful insights, calm and warm demeanor, and attentive personality. She truly has a gift for connecting with her clients and making them feel comfortable from the moment they meet. I found her to be an exceptional therapist who has a keen ability to listen, understand, and provide practical guidance without being judgmental or preachy.

In my opinion, she represents the epitome of what a therapist should be caring, insightful, and dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals. She is very personable and approachable, which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable. Anyone seeking a therapist who is genuinely invested in helping them overcome life's challenges would do well to seek out Joanmarie Nolan-Miller.
