Joanne Taylor, LCSW-C
About me
Hello, my name is Joanne Taylor and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C). I have over 10 years of experience working as a therapist/counselor to adolescents, and another 10 years of experience in child welfare (foster care), hospice, and end of life and grief counseling.
In my 20 years of experience, I have worked to develop skills with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief, depression, anxiety, parenting problems, career challenges, end of life, physical illness, life transitions, and ADHD. I also helped many people address attachment related difficulties related to emotional abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
I provide a safe emotional space for exploration of feelings and understand clients are individuals, needing unique support. I aim to always provide a supportive presence and believe respect, sensitivity, and compassion are paramount for a therapeutic alliance. My approach is ecclectic, combining cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, and person-centered modalities. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
