Jocelyn Gutowski, LCSW
About me
Hi, my name is Jocelyn Gutowski and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field and eight years providing psychotherapy. I have experience in different settings such as community mental health, school systems, and advocacy centers working with- children, adolescents, and adults. I am an EMDR certified clinician and specialize in treating clients who have experienced complex trauma.
I have a client centered approach to therapy, and I focus on collaborating with clients to find the best treatment. I use a strength-based trauma informed approach and feel that an important indicator of success in therapy is the client/ therapist relationship. I am friendly, open, patient, and understanding. I focus on making sure you feel heard, validated, and respected. I will meet you where you are in your journey and help you take gentle, meaningful steps forward. My Favorite part about the work I do is to see people make positive changes right before my eyes!
I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work and a Certificate in Military Social Work from University in Missouri, and two Bachelor's Degrees from the University of Hawaii; one in psychology and the other in sociology.
When I’m not working, I enjoy travel, outdoor activities, yoga, and spending time with my family. I’m married to a retired disabled veteran and have 4 children ages ranging between 9-21.
It takes courage to seek help and take steps to change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
