About me

Greetings, My name is John and I am glad to meet you and offer you an opportunity to discuss your concerns with me. I am very good at listening and finding a way to provide as close to what you need as I can. I understand the hesitation of speaking to someone about personal and often private matters and I can make that process seem effortless because I do not judge or compare one person to the next or to myself. You may want to talk about problems you are experiencing and there is no problem too large or too small. I have worked with individuals in a variety of functions from Karate Teacher, Scout Master, Children and Youth Director, Farm Manager, Substitute Teacher, and now as a Licensed mental health Counselor. I have faced both personal issues myself and those of others who shared their concerns with me. Empathy is a characteristic that I personally appreciate and practice. As you share with me, I will try to understand how it makes you feel and how it effects your mood and life. We will spend our time discussing the issues and concerns that brought you to BetterHelp for counseling. I have set my weekly schedule to provide services on Wednesdays and Thursdays and If you can work those days into your schedule we can begin with one session per week and make adjustments as necessary. The message board on your BetterHelp website Dashboard is the perfect place to share information and communicate concerns. We will talk more about how we can utilize your subscription to get the greatest benefits possible.
I am sure that I do not need to say this last thing, but, just to keep everything we do transparent, open, and understood, I will. I am only human and only as good for you as you help me to be. I have no psychic powers and rely on facts that you give me rather than intuition, perception, or gut feeling. I practice extreme confidentiality and will never put your name on anything I document. Anything you tell me goes no further and the most powerful disclosure gets the same attention as the least. You can trust me knowing that even though we have just met, I hold our relationship as important as any other.
I look forward to meeting you and I leave the decision to you as to using video or not when we meet and participate in Talk Therapy Sessions. I have determined that being at your own location of choice and not having to smile for a camera makes the experience much easier and relaxing. It is your choice; I still say, "See you soon", even if we don't actually see eachother.

I have to thank God for John McRee. It's important to speak with believers of the same faith. John is a Christian man, believer in Jesus Christ, Counselor and Therapist. One of Gods best! I was in shambles. Jesus guided me to John and with John helped me through the turmoil and back into Jesus' light, stronger faith, hope and love. Thank you Jesus! Thank you John for answering the call, from Jesus and from me.

John is an incredible, down to earth and straight forward guy!

Isn’t afraid to say it how it is, asks the real questions, but also is calm, collected and caring when push comes to shove.

Really enjoying my time working with him and the building blocks we’ve put in place.

John McRee is an excellent listener. He is very meticulous and caring. He takes notes of all what a patient has to say, reviews them and addresses every point carefully. He also revises all points covered/raised during the session before he closes up to make sure all concerns were addressed. He is a genuine person. I highly recommend him. I made (LEAPS) towards healing with him.
