About me

Hello, my name is John. I am a licensed therapist and semi retired from private practice of 25 years in rural west Tennessee. I have worked in varied milieus: with disabilities, addiction facility, community mental health, psychiatric hospital, group home and private practice. I am a veteran, with a loving home and family (and pets). Both of my parents worked in the 'helping profession', so I came by it naturally. I believe in counseling and therapy. I have used most of the therapeutical interventions that are called for. I believe in matching the intervention with the issue and individual's needs. I look forward to meeting and working with you. I have read your profile and am comfortable working with these issues. Should you have any questions relative to our 'connecting' please don't hesitate to contact me, I want to help.

John was very great. Knowledgeable and helpful in ways I could use on my own and techniques to help me manage my life more effectively. Only reason I’m switching is his retirement coming up. Thanks for everything John!
