About me

Hello, my name is John. I am a licensed therapist and semi retired from private practice of 25 years in rural west Tennessee. I have worked in varied milieus: with disabilities, addiction facility, community mental health, psychiatric hospital, group home and private practice. I am a veteran, with a loving home and family (and pets). Both of my parents worked in the 'helping profession', so I came by it naturally. I believe in counseling and therapy. I have used most of the therapeutical interventions that are called for. I believe in matching the intervention with the issue and individual's needs. I look forward to meeting and working with you. I have read your profile and am comfortable working with these issues. Should you have any questions relative to our 'connecting' please don't hesitate to contact me, I want to help.

I have done extensive work in the field of substance abuse and worked in a facility for over two years.
I have been certified: Moral Recognition Therapy, Domestic Violence Perpetrator; Disaster MH Services for American Red Cross and Anger Mgt.
