About me

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

It was my first experience of therapy fifteen years ago that had a life-changing, profound impact on me, this eventually led me to train and work as a therapist.

I know how it feels to be vulnerable and experience low self-esteem – and I understand the power in being heard and listened to. My therapist changed how I thought about myself and they recognised my intrinsic value, developing my potential for self-belief.

Now I work with people who struggle with a wide range of issues. My clients have said that working with me allowed them to feel heard, safe, understood and accepted – giving them more confidence when facing life challenges and forming and maintaining fulfilling relationships. I can help you to fulfil your potential.

My approach is by journeying alongside you, helping you explore your experiences, gain deeper awareness and understanding of who you are, and realise your inner strengths. I strongly believe that learning to trust, accept and value oneself for who we are, enables us to develop and change to be the best version of ourselves.

Having received a diagnosis of dyspraxia and ADHD later in life, I help others with neurodivergent challenges – my experiences allows me to understand how being made to feel different can impact your childhood /teenage years and how it can shape your future self, and the effect this can have on your self-esteem and the value you place in yourself. My inclusive and effective counselling practice is based on my core values of integrity, empathy and respect.

I am credentialed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Jolene is an excellent therapist, she is highly professional and I feel I get a lot out of each session. She is very flexible and works around my busy work schedule. I would highly recommend both Jolene and better help as a platform

Jolene is excellent at getting to the roots of what it is I'm facing and encouraging me to take steps towards healthy solutions and coping skills that are helping me through what has been a very difficult period in my life. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for support and a friendly person to listen and pose questions that will alter your way of seeing your life for the better.
