About me
Hello, I congratulate you on taking a first big step.
My name is Jonathan Dowling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I received my bachelor degree from Northern Arizona University and my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Colorado. I have been working as a therapist with both adult and adolescent clients in private practice, schools, and also within various treatment settings. I most often work with individuals with specific needs including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, job problems, anger, behavioral challenges, and addiction.
My own therapeutic style uses a strength based approaches that assist my clients in finding exceptions to common thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that they may be struggling with allowing them to discover their own unique resources and individual abilities.
I believe in creating a safe, person-centered, individualized, and considerate environment for clients, that change is always possible.
