About me

I am a licensed psychologist in Kentucky with 7 years of professional experience across a diverse range of clinical settings. I have experience in helping clients with life stress and anxiety, LGBT-affirming therapy, trauma and abuse, and coping with multiple forms of grief and loss. I have worked in college counseling settings, federal prisons, community mental health centers, and in partial-hospitalization treatment programs. I have a passion for blending scientific research and best practices into how I provide each client with a tailored treatment approach.
In therapy, I am consistently experienced as engaging, genuine, warm, and highly motivated to help my clients thrive. My approach is rooted in culturally sensitive and trauma-informed principles to ensure that we are to build a collaborative and safe relationship for you to explore your lived experience more fully in therapy together. I approach therapy from an Interpersonal Process theoretical lens, however, I integrate multiple other approaches to meet your unique needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and behavioral health consultation frameworks.

When we first meet, you can expect me to capitalize on your innate strengths as a person while also challenging you to make progress toward your goals. I value the time, effort, and energy you are putting into therapy, and I also strive to ensure you feel safe in therapy.

Dr. Todd is wonderful! He is very kind and so good at listening to issues and then providing valuable feedback. I’ve only seen him a little while, but he has already really helped me.
