Hello, I am Jose L. Diaz, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I am also a Certified Addictions Professional, a National Certified Counselor and a Master Neuro-Linguistic Programmer. I received my master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and have been practicing for nearly 10 years. Through my years of experience I have been privileged to work with a wide variety of individuals and their concerns including depression, bipolar, anxiety, addiction, schizophrenia, relationship and adjustment issues. I have also been very helpful to individuals with a history of trauma and abuse. My counseling style allows clients to have insight and understanding at a deep level in order to fully work through the issues at hand. It is my belief that understanding an issue from its core, can give rise to the healing we all seek. I also believe that a human being is much more than a given diagnosis. My counseling style combines some of the most effective and evidenced-based practices such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy and trauma informed care. Every client is guaranteed to receive individualized attention, communication and treatment to meet the change desired and needed.
We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realize.

Jose has been there for me in the best way possible, he listens and always gave the best advice even when is not what I want to listen... Thank you Jose
Jose Diaz is helping me with parts of myself I held in the back of my soul for a very long time in a very straightforward yet relaxed manner. His support feels quite liberating.
I appreciate the timely of Jose's responses. I feel challenged and supported in my concerns and have already benefited from Jose's counseling.
Jose helped me pinpoint the most urgent issues I needed to deal with and how to change my perspective so I could better solve them. I am really impressed by the way it has been working out.
He is clued in - knows, from brief history, how to guide. He is good.
Dr. Diaz has been very enlightening and helpful in such a short amount of time. I'm glad to work with him.
I've entered into the second half of my first year with Jose and I'm most impressed that I can write the same review today that I did when we first started and the language would be verbatim.
He understands his members and doesn't waste time helping them to achieve their goals in a timely, comfortable and intuitive way.
I have been talking to Jose for approximately 3 months now and was very surprised how quickly he became in tune with my needs, although I live on the other side of the world. He comes across to genuinely care and offers multi-strand coping mechanisms and advice. Having tried a few counselors in the past, I highly recommend giving Jose an opportunity to type/talk with you.
Jose has been a wonderful help in opening my eyes in understanding certain things although it was unfortunate I couldn't do more.
Jose has been a great help and has provided a great altering perspective
Very great and encouraging. Jose always puts everything into a new perspective that I didn't see before. Would highly recommend.
