Aloha I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Hawaii and I have practiced psychological therapy for +6 years. My passion continues to grow by studying and joining my client in their life experiences. My counseling style includes warm empathic humanistic psychology techniques in order to establish a strong therapeutic alliance. This helps my clients be comfortable in whatever environment they are in so that they may reach healthy mental growth. While I use humanistic psychology modalities I also use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) for trauma which has been clinically proven to help in the most severe cases.
I am mostly a Trauma and Grief therapist. However over my years of practicing and studying I have noticed that it not JUST trauma and grief. Most times there are symptoms and issues such as anger, depression, anxiety, suicide, self-harm, relationship, transition, self-esteem, sex issues, the list goes on. I have been grateful to work with all sex and sexual orientations in all of these mental health issues.
