About me
I am an independently licensed professional clinician with 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have experience with both individual and group counseling. Specific areas I have worked in include sex offender treatment, anger management treatment, and relationship/marriage counseling. My approach focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques with facets of Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Therapy.
Clients I have enjoyed working with have had difficulties related to depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, self-esteem, AOD, and trauma. I focus on getting to know my clients, understanding where they are currently, and helping move to where they want to be. I implore listening and constructive feedback to illicit a healthy dialogue that can help in finding the most therapeutic ways of moving forward in treatment.
I work from a perspective that anyone can grow and become better if they become more informed about themselves and are willing to take risks. Empowerment and support can lead to change.
