Joseph Murphy, LPC-MHSP
About me
I am licensed in Tennessee with more than 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, anger management, depression, OCD and bipolar disorder. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I am a Christian, and while I am not a "Christian counselor" per se, I try to keep my practice consistent with a Christian worldview. My approach to therapy is mostly cognitive behavioral in orientation but I also have training in dialectical behavior therapy and other therapy styles.
Change is difficult. I recognize that and will be patient with you as you seek to build the life that you want. You will have to do most of the work, but I am here to support and encourage you.
I look forward to working with you!
