Joshua Kay, LCSW-C
About me
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Maryland with over 20 years experience in the mental health field, and 4 years experience as a direct therapist. I have spent my career helping individuals and families with trauma and child abuse. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I utilize Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify triggers, learn your warning signs, and then utilize coping skills. My goal is to help improve your self esteem and change unwanted behaviors. You are the expert on your life. I can help guide a journey to overcome challenges by using your own strengths.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
