About me

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 10 years mostly in private practice, located in a suburb of Philadelphia. I have worked as a mental health counselor for 20 years, including community outreach and crisis management. My career path also includes sales training, management, and professional coaching.

As an accredited addictions specialist, I have an extensive knowledge of 12 step programs and other resources of support.
In simple terms, I enjoy helping people get through difficult times of change. Person centered listening is where I start so that I may have a good understanding of your perspective and insight.

Borrowing evidence-based techniques from mindfulness and cognitive behavioral theories, we have the tools to reduce the impact when feeling symptoms of trauma, panic, anxiety, depression and losses of job, income, partner, parents, or children. My clients have successfully crafted the skills to finally live what they define to be a more peaceful, positive, and meaningful life.

Take your first step toward a better life with a call to Better Help!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Joy Weissenberg. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Joy was a blaming, not resourceful, and not solution-focused provider. Joy does not work to assist the client, and Joy is late to each of the sessions I booked with her. Joy does not give proper greetings at the start of sessions, nor at the end of sessions. Joy is highly unprofessional and has no business working with people's mental and emotional well-being.
