Joycelean Baker, LMHC
About me
My name is Joycelean, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with several years of experience helping individuals, couples and families with a wide range of concerns including addictions, anxiety, bipolar, depression, family conflict, grief and loss, impulse control, phase of life, and substance use. I have also helped seniors balance their mental and physical health while encouraging them to learn how to adjust to serving and nurturing their loved ones. Mental health is a journey of healing and transformation, and I am willing to be a compassionate and sensitive support for you throughout this transition.
My approach to therapy is a combination of client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy. I believe that therapy is motivated by self-direction, empowerment, peer support, responsibility, and hope. Together, we will create a treatment plan that is unique to your specific needs.
Life is a journey of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors for each day we wake up. I look forward to providing support as I encourage you to feel safe in expressing your feelings and the severity of any problems we can resolve together. I am anticipating working with you in creating a balanced lifestyle, physically and mentally.
